Ryan Phillippe’s ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewit has filed a lawsuit against the actor claiming that he kicked, punched, and threw her down the stairs in a drunken rage on July 3 this year.

People magazine reports that the 21-year-old model went to Ryan’s house to pack up her things after feeling ignored by him at a party, and that he got violent. However, a source close to him says: “Ryan did not lay a hand on her. He wants to clear all of this up and he will.”

Elsie claims that Ryan is ”repeatedly abusing a panoply of legal and illegal drugs, including without limitation: cocaine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms, and steroids…”.

However, sources say it is Elsie who has the issues: “Elsie showed up to Ryan’s house uninvited and under the influence a few days after he had broken up with her,” the source says. “She physically attacked Ryan, caused a scene and refused to leave his home. As she was removed from the premises, she claims she fell and injured herself.”
