Anti-Racist Protestors Thrown Out of Fenway After Displaying Propaganda Banner

Four people were removed from a Boston Red Sox game this week after holding a banner reading, “Racism is as American as Baseball.”

According to the New York Times, the crowds booed when the fans were removed from the stadium at the request of the umpires — in case you didn’t know, Boston is pretty freaking liberal (so YAS to the boos).

The protestors released a statement to the Washington Post, saying: “We want to remind everyone that just as baseball is fundamental to American culture and history, so too is racism. White people need to wake up to this reality before white supremacy can truly be dismantled.”

Even though the Sox lost 7-3, the banner still made a mark. The team said in a statement that the banner was “in violation of the club’s policy prohibiting signs of any kind to be hung or affixed to the ballpark.”
