Robert Pattinson Paid a Visit to Jail — Here’s Why:

Robert Pattinson recently attended a screening of Jon Alpert’s 1989 documentary One Year in a Life of Crime in New York City, and the actor went onstage to join Alpert and director Josh Safdie to share about how the ilm inspired his performance in the new film Good Time.

“You’ve watched it six times, right?” Josh asked Pattinson. “At least,” said Robert. “I just watched it again yesterday.”

His role in Good Time is a Queens man who robs a bank and watches over his mentally challenged brother. Robert admitted he spent a lot of time in several New York City jails — in character!
