R. Kelly has been in hot water the last few weeks amid allegations that he’s holding women in a “sex cult.” He later responded, telling his fans it’s a “bunch of crap.”

Now, sources at Page Six said that the singer hired a crisis team to fight the claims, which apparently have some truth to them.

The big gun came after BuzzFeed’s epic report about the allegations. Following the report, concert dates in Dallas, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge were canceled due to low ticket sales. “The promoter sent an e-mail to R. Kelly’s team and told them they were set to lose $400,000 if sales didn’t pick up fast. They canceled,” a source said to Page Six.

One of the supposed captives, Jocelyn Savage, told TMZ she’s happy living with R. Kelly and slammed her dad’s allegations that the singer has his daughter restrained.

A source said that R. Kelly’s people are , “working on a plan to portray Jocelyn’s father as having . . . encouraged the relationship with R. Kelly. They want to make it look like Kelly rescued her from her father.”
