Uzo Aduba got a new job y’all, and she’s going to be unleashing her powerful vocal chops yet again in the musical workshop of The Secret Life of Bees, based on the 2004 novel by Sue Monk Kidd.

The workshop will be part of Powerhouse Theater’s 2017 season. The show is to be performed one weekend only on July 27 to 30, with an eye toward a Broadway production.
