‘Morning Joe’ Co-Hosts Joe and Mika Say Trump is ‘Obsessed’ With Them
After yesterday’s crazy scene with the president Donald Trump saying Mika Brzezinski had a facelift and was bleeding during her and Joe’s visit to Mar-a-Lago, the co-hosts of Morning Joe snapped back (as they should).
The hosts of the MSNBC show called on Trump to end his “unhealthy obsession” with the show, writing this morning in an op-ed for The Washington Post that they’re convinced he’s not “mentally equipped” to watch it.
“For those lucky enough to miss Thursday’s West Wing temper tantrum, the president continued a year-long habit of lashing out at ‘Morning Joe’ while claiming to never watch it,” Mika and Joe Scarborough wrote, adding that his tweets fit a “flirty of falsehoods.”
They said they never asked to join Trump for a three-night stay at Mar-a-Lago. In fact, they said it was “laughable” he said he refused to see them and that it was a lie that she was bleeding from a facelift.
“Putting aside Mr. Trump’s never-ending obsession with women’s blood, Mika and her face were perfectly intact, as pictures from that night reveal,” they wrote. “And though it is no one’s business, the president’s petulant personal attack against yet another woman’s looks compels us to report that Mika has never had a face-lift.”
The couple (who’s been dating for a while now) continued: “From his menstruation musings about Megyn Kelly, to his fat-shaming treatment of a former Miss Universe, to his braggadocio claims about grabbing women’s genitalia, the 45th president is setting the poorest of standards for our children… The Donald Trump we knew before the campaign was a flawed character but one who still seemed capable of keeping his worst instincts in check.”
