While its been announced previously that the next American Crime Story would be the story around Hurricane Katrina, it is now confirmed that the next season is actually going to be The Assassination of Gianni Versace, which was originally scheduled to premiere after Katrina.

The cast and crew are currently in production, and the show chronicles the story of renowned designer Gianni Versace’s murder by Andrew Cunanan, played by Darren Criss.

Katrina stars Annette Bening, Matthew Broderick and Dennis Quaid, and focuses around the tragedy during and after the hurricane decimated New Orleans.
