‘America’s Got Talent’ Contestant Dead at 29

Brandon Rogers amazed audiences with his powerful voice during America’s Got Talent season 12, and according to Entertainment Tonight, it’s now confirmed that he has died in a car accident in Maryland.

The deal comes just weeks before getting his chance on stage.

“It’s a very difficult time. What we want people to remember most is his love of God and how much he touched others,” a family member told ET. “His ability to sing was a gift. He was funny and genuine and everyone loved him. What he did was inspire others because of his love for God.”

According to TMZ, AGT producers have not made a decision on whether or not to run Rogers’ episode, which is scheduled to air next month. Producers reportedly discovered Rogers when they saw an Instagram video of him singing Boyz II Men’s “On Bended Knee.”
