Michael J. Fox turns 56 today, and Twitter took a stroll down movie memory lane.

We all know Michael from his TV shows and movies, Family Ties, Back to the Future, Boston Legal and The Good Wife to name a few.

Back in 1991, Michael was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.  Although he was told he had a limited amount of time left to act, he proved them wrong nearly 30 years later by going steady!

The Emmy award-winning actor and author has written three books about what he’s learned during his life as an actor and what life’s been like with the disease.

He said this to AARP Magazine:

”I no longer have my stuff, the big bag of tricks I relied on in the past…I can’t do a double take anymore, for one. I’m more into the moment of what I’m doing because I don’t — I can’t — have any expectations. I’m forced to approach every take as a whole new thing.”

Happy Birthday Marty McFly.  We sure are in awe of you!
