Bill Maher is stil in the hot seat.

After the Real Time host used the N-word during an interview on his show last week, celebrities continue to weigh in on the matter. Ice Cube sat down with Rolling Stone for an interview published today, and shared his thoughts. He said:

“He knows that’s a bad word to a lot of people. Now, the question is: Why did he think he could be that comfortable with saying that? What makes you think you can say that? Why did you think you could get away with that? He wants to talk about ‘house (slaves)’ like they had it so much better? It’s like, please. It wasn’t a cakewalk for a so-called ‘house (slaves),’ either, unless you like being raped. Sometimes, you gotta know when to shut up. Check yourself before you wreck yourself.”

Though he did issue a public apology, Bill isn’t getting off the hook anytime soon. The rapper was supposed to appear on Real Time on the Friday before the racial slur happened, and now plans to appear on this Friday’s show. Ice Cube added:

“You’ll see me there on Friday, and I’ll say what I gotta say.”
