Geri Halliwell Regrets Leaving The Spice Girls
Geri Halliwell just apologized for leaving the Spice Girls nearly 20 years ago, leaving fans semi-okay seeing as she kinda-sorta broke up possibly one of the best girl groups of all time! (But we’re not bitter)
Just kidding, we love you Geri.
Back in the day, it was announced that Geri, i.e. Ginger Spice, was leaving the band in the middle of their world tour. When a fan reminded her of that, she said: “I’m sorry about that … everything works out in the end, that’s what my mum says! X.”

Geri even called her exit “premature” in an interview with Oprah, saying:
“It felt like it had grown into this huge monster, bigger than the individuals, bigger than the band itself,” she explained. “Obviously there was a bit of ruction in the band, and I was thinking ‘You know, I just don’t want to do this anymore.’ It was like, ‘You’re getting on my nerves and I don’t know how to talk this through, so I’m out of here.’ It was quite immature, looking back.”
