Kirsten Dunst wasn’t expecting to burst into tears when she saw Sofia Coppola on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival, but that’s exactly what happened.

“[It was] just a special moment that caught her by surprise,” a source told Page Six.

The two have worked together many times, most recently on The Beguiled.

The last time they were at Cannes was when their movie Marie Antoinette was torn apart by critics. In fact, it got booed.

But later, Sofia said that a few journalists started booing “so they could say it got booed.” Fortunately, this time around their film received a more welcoming response.
