After several teasers, Selena Gomez has finally dropped her newest single, “Bad Liar,’ and it was worth the wait!

The song is yet another collaboration with Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter, and features a sample from 1977’s “Psycho Killer” by Talking Heads.

The title may lead you to believe the track is a jilted breakup song, but that is not the case. The upbeat, poppy tune is about the excitement of a new relationship. According to HighSnobiety, Justin stated, “The lyrics are really cool and descriptive about when you first start having feelings for someone, but don’t want to admit it, which turns you into a ‘Bad Liar.’” That has many people thinking that The Weeknd was the singer’s inspiration.
