Mean Girls: the Musical is officially in rehearsals and will be opening soon in Washington, D.C. Thankfully, Tina Fey spoke about it on The Tonight Show and shared the latest:

“It’s moving along,” she said. “The theater is three blocks from the White House, so you could make a little trip of it. If you work there and you get fired, you could come down…”

She continued: “I’ve been in movie musicals, and with those you can secretly suck. But to do it on stage, these kids are so talented, it’s like a bunch of baby Timberlakes! Everyone can do everything. They sing so loud and they dance so hard.”

Mean Girls will play at the National Theatre in Washington DC from October 31 to December 3, 2017, followed by a Broadway opening shortly after.
