Sometimes meeting our heroes can be overwhelming — such was the case for a young boy who was so overcome with emotion after meeting Kate Middleton that he burst into tears.

But that’s okay, because Kate Middleton (a mother of two) knew exactly how to handle the situation.

Kate knelt down to console the boy, who turned to hug his mom. She wore a custom sky blue wool crepe coat during the visit, which was at a cycling-themed festival in Place de Clairefontaine.
