Don’t mess with theatergoers, especially seasons New York City Broadway veteran theatergoers. Trust us, they do NOT care if you’re famous or not. If you’re late to a performance, you will be banished — and that’s exactly what happened to Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio.

The actor was late showing up to a performance of A Doll’s House, Part 2, so they had to seat him in the rear balcony of the Golden Theater, where seats are usually $60 on weeknights.

He originally had Orchestra seats, which are in the hundreds of dollars range. But movie producer Scott Rudin, who in the last several years has produced massive Broadway hits, does not play with late comers.

“Rudin is very strict about late seating,” a source told Page Six. “There are no exceptions, and the house manager implements Rudin’s policy with the precision of Gen. Patton.”
