Nicki Minaj fell into an awkward situation after attending the Met Gala on Monday.

She looked fabulous, of course, which might explain the confusion.

After the event, a fan posted an image on Instagram of Nicki along with 23 publications that supposedly included her in their Best Dressed lists. Naturally, she reposted it.

Unfortunately, the list was completely and totally inaccurate.

The truth of the matter is Nicki didn’t make the Best Dressed list for the majority of the large outlets listed. And since figuring out her mistake, the singer/rapper deleted the post.

But, Rihanna (because she’s Rihanna) decided to follow up with an Instagram of her own, displaying the outlets who listed her as Best Dressed — and she attached the receipts to prove it, captioning the post: “Casual”
