Chelsea Clinton might seem calm and collected in interviews, but trust us, she’s hiding those claws (which are undoubtedly manicured and fabulous).

Like her mom Hillary Clinton, Chelsea knows how to land a statement so it hits you in the gut. That’s why love her!

Such was the case this weekend.

SNL’s Vanessa Bayer made a joke while introducing Chelsea at Variety’s Power of Women luncheon, saying: “We have some pretty amazing honorees this afternoon. Jessica Chastain, Gayle King, Blake Lively, Audra McDonald, Tina Knowles, Shari Redstone, and Chelsea Clinton. And they all have one thing in common. None of their moms are president.”

Well, obviously Chelsea had to think of something quick while walking up to the podium, so she replied:

“Vanessa, we may be able to say in this room today that no one’s mother is currently president, but some day, someone’s will be.”

O.M.G! And… the room stood up with applause.
