Billie Lourd Wears a Custom Tom Ford Dress In Tribute to Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia

If the force was strong with Carrie Fisher, it’s even stronger with her daughter Billie Lourd!

Billie made her first public appearance since the death of her mom and grandmother, Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds, and brought the house down in a memorable speech.

The Scream Queens star honored her mom at a Star Wars celebration in Orlando, Florida by wearing a custom white Tom Ford dress resembling Princess Leia’s iconic attire.

“My mom used to say she never knew where Princess Leia ended and Carrie Fisher began,” Lourd said onstage. “She was imperfect in many ways but her imperfections and willingness to speak about them are what made her more than perfect. My mom, like Leia, wasn’t ever afraid to speak her mind and say things that might have made most people uncomfortable.”

She continued: “She taught me by her own example, that the most evolved person is seemingly a contradiction — they are both the strongest and the most vulnerable person in the room. And that was her. That is Leia.”

After Billie’s speech, the organizers played a montage of the late Princess. Take a look:
