We were all hoping that this would have a happy ending, but sadly Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have officially filed for divorce.

Even though the couple has been publically separated for quite some time, we had high hopes they would get back together.

We’re happy to hear that the divorce is very amicable, and was an agreement they came to as a family.

Jennifer‘s divorce petition and Ben‘s response were filed together, according to TMZ.

Both stars requested joint custody of their three children, Violet (11), Seraphina (8), and Samuel (5).
