Scarlett Johansson Calls Ivanka Trump a ‘Coward’

During a Q&A with Arianna Huffington at the eight annual Women in the World Summit on Thursday, Scarlett Johansson opened up about her feelings for the first daughter Ivanka Trump.

The actress recently did an impersonation of Ivanka last week on Saturday Night Live, which was probably the most hysterical thing we’ve seen in a while. But this particular perspective on President Trump’s daughter wasn’t so funny.

Scarlett referred to Ivanka’s recent interview with Gayle King  in which she said she didn’t know what it means to be “complicit.”

“I thought to myself, ‘Well that’s empowering,’” Scarlett said sarcastically. “If you take a job as a public advocate, then you must advocate publicly. It’s such an old-fashioned concept that to be a powerful woman you can’t appear to be concerned [with appearances]. Screw that, it’s so old-fashioned, it’s so uninspired and actually really cowardly.”
