Julia Roberts ‘Can’t Wait’ to Show Her Kids Her Most Iconic Films

Julia Roberts makes our heart jump. She is and forever will be America’s sweetheart. (that smile!)

The 49-year old actress has been keeping a low profile while she raises her three kids with cinematographer Danny Model. And in an interview with Good Morning America this morning, she said she actually prefers family time over late night parties.

“I love being able to go to bed at 8:30 at night,” said said with a laugh. “I love it all, I mean I love it when it’s easy and I love it when it’s challenging. I do love it all. You’re allowed to not only to love the weekends but also Christmas and summer vacation in a new way. It’s such a great learning experience. They’re such great teachers. Their point of view is so unique.”

When it comes to showing her kids her most epic movies like Pretty Women, Stepmom, Runaway Bride, and My Best Friend’s Wedding, she said: “There are some I am looking forward to showing my daughter. I can’t wait for her to see My Best Friend’s Wedding. That’ll be sweet and I think they will be pleased with how I spent my 20s and 30s.”

Julia is currently starring in The Smurfs. Where are smurfs, you say?

“The Smurfs are this odd little colony of creatures that have stood the test of time,” she explained. “The movies are always so sweet and fun and I thought yeah I want to be a Smurf. The Smurfs always have a jewel of an idea about getting along and living joyfully.”

As for her thoughts on gender equality, of which she is an outspoken activist: “It really is the biggest chasm of humanity that we cannot embrace the things that make us different. Everyone is so frustrated over why it’s so challenging.”
