Here’s Why Kirsten Dunst Hates Filming Sex Scenes

While some people might love to film sex scenes with hottie Colin Farrell, Kirsten Dunst had a bit of a hard time.

“I am on the floor and my clothes are being ripped,” she explained of the scene to E! News at CinemaCon.

The actress stars with Collin in The Beguiled, and went on to explain that sex scenes are never enjoyable.

“I don’t like it, I don’t like it,” she shared. “To be honest, I’m like, ‘Let’s get this over with as fast as possible.’”

But working with director Sofia Coppola is always going to be a wonderful time. Kirsten has worked with her in The Virgin Suicides, Marie Antoinette, and now The Beguiled.

“At least Sofia’s like, ‘We’re going to get this done quick, I’m just gonna shoot it here, we’ll do three takes, be done,’” whereas male directors want to “shoot it from every angle.”

Thankfully, co-star Collin Farrell is very empathetic when it comes to these issues: “It’s harder for women. And women have in the history of cinema … been more exploited of course, through the means of sexuality, by men than men have,” Farrell said. “So, it’s situations like that, any love scenes that I’ve been a party to over the years, you just [do] whatever your female dance partner needs.”
