According to reports, Mel B has been granted a restraining order against her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte, who she recently filed for divorce from two weeks ago, claiming that he beat and sexually exploited her, while also getting the nanny pregnant.

TMZ reports that the Spice Girl’s lawyers given the restraining order yesterday, which prohibits the film producer from being anywhere near Mel B and her three daughters.

Details are surfacing about the abuse, in particular one incident that happened in August 2012 when Mel B performed at the closing ceremony for the Long Olympics. Another claim she said was that Stephen got their nanny pregnant and paid her nearly $300,000 of the singer’s own money for “alleged nanny service.”

Additionally, it’s discovered that Stephen owned a gun, even though he was prohibited from every carrying one due to a prior domestic violence conviction with another woman. TMZ says a Los Angeles judge ordered him to leave the family home.

Reportedly, Stephen was seen on his way to the home to pack clothes on Monday.

Various newspapers from around the world are digging into the story: U.K.’s The Sun said that Mel B dumped Stephen after he brought a gun into the house and snuggled up to the nanny. Stephen’s brother also had his own opinion, saying that the couple’s decision to liven things up in the bedroom may have sparked jealousy (and a pregnant nanny?).

The duo almost made it to ten years before filing for divorce last month, even though they’ve been separated since December.
