Marisa Tomei’s Dramatic Reading of Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’ is LIFE

Marisa Tomei reminded us all why she’s an Oscar winner during an appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert when she and Stephen gave a collected dramatic reading of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” — it’s sheer poetry.

The actress starred in Captain America: Civil War and also mentioned that Gaga once said in a Rolling Stone interview that she’d love for Marisa to play her in a biopic — can you f*cking imagine. That’s a lot of strong Italian women in one movie!

Perhaps this reading was her audition, so to speak? Not that Marissa every needs to audition for anything (ever!).

“I won’t tell you that I love you. Kiss or hug you,” Stephen said. And here goes Marisa: “I’m bluffing with my muffin. I’m not lying. I’m just staying with my love, glue-gunnin’.”

The rest is epic…

Check out Marisa starring in How to Transcend a Happy Marriage, playing at The Lincoln Center in New York City.
