After Abby Lee Miller stepped down from her role on Dance Moms amid legal battles, people were questioning who would take her place.

We now know it’s going to be Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke!

Cheryl is going to be replacing Abby for the remainder of the season. The 32-year old dancer has been a regular on DWTS for 19 seasons, but is currently not performing this season (perhaps because she’s too busy with Dance Moms!).

A source told Entertainment Weekly that Dance Moms will resume filming on Wednesday and was picked up for four more episodes. “It’s a go with or without Abby,” the source said. “It’s been up in the air because the network said it’s either all of the cast or they weren’t doing any [more episodes].”

Apparently, Abby hasn’t been acting super professional on set. A second source said she allegedly bolted from filming three or four episodes recently, which prompted producers to bring on celebrity choreographer Laurieann Gibson (who many thought would be her successor).

Gibson was apparently supposed to come back to shoot another episode when Abby returned with a new list of demands, including nobody even mentioning the world “jail” in her presence. However, Abby said she quit because she “ASKED, BEGGED, AND EVEN DEMANDED CREATIVE CREDIT FOR ALL THE IDEAS, AWARD-WINNING ROUTINES, THEMES, AND COSTUMING.”

The 50-year old dance instructor is currently awaiting her sentence after pleading guilty to bankruptcy fraud last June.
