I wonder who wears the pants in this family!

Talk about a wife who knows how to handle a situation (we all need one of those, right?). Turns out, directly after Warren Beaty was accidentally handed the wrong envelope and let Faye Dunaway speak the wrong Best Picture winner, his wife Annette Bening ordered him to come home.

Publicist Peggy Siegel wrote in her annual “Oscar Diary” for Avenue Magazine about the event, saying:

“At the entrance to the [Governors Ball] Warren Beatty walked up to me, still holding the two priceless envelopes as proof of his innocence. I asked him, ‘What happened?’ His phone rang. It was so noisy, he bent toward me to hear better. The phone was almost in my face and I heard Annette Bening asking where he was and saying, ‘Warren, come home.’ Warren said, ‘No. I have done nothing wrong.’”
