Maksim Chmerkovskiy Won’t Be on ‘DWTS’ This Week, Due to Injury
Our beloved Ukranian dancer, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, will not be dancing on Dancing With the Stars week two because of a calf injury.
The announcement was given on Good Morning America, where the anchors said Maksim will be replaced tonight by Alan Bersten, and if the injury gets more serious, he might be out a little longer.
“It’s my calf muscle,” Chmerkovskiy said in rehearsal footage. “F—k. It just feels like something hit it.”
Injured or not, Maksim will be cheering on his partner, Glee star Heather Morris.
Heather hasn’t spoken about Maksim’s absence yet, but did write: “I know Mondays are supposed to be dreadful but somehow now I’m excited for them.. who else is ready for tomorrow night?! #DWTS @DancingABC”
