After two 10-year-old girls were prevented from boarding their United Airlines flight because they were wearing leggings, Chrissy Teigen took to Twitter to make a point like only Chrissy Teigen can.

“I have flown united before with literally no pants on. Just a top as a dress. Next time I will wear only jeans and a scarf,” she tweeted.

When it was pointed out that the girls’ tickets were actually employee passes, and therefore a dress code was required, Chrissy shot back, “Honestly I don’t really care. If I have an issue with a company, I stop giving them money. Like d&g. Easy peasy.”

After some reflection on her comment, she added “sorry I didn’t mean for the don’t care part to sound so aggressive. I literally meant I don’t really care. … I don’t need forced public apologies and takedowns. I just make a conscious effort to not support.”

Apparently, the girls’ father was allowed to board wearing shorts, which people saw as a double standard.

Though most of her followers were delighted by the notion of a topless Chrissy taking a stand, a troll who had nothing better to do tweeted the ever brilliant, “who cares?” to which she replied, “I dunno Matt maybe check what’s trending because it’s EVERYONE u tool face.”

Chrissy wasn’t the only celebrity to take issue with the situation. William Shatner tweeted asking if it was ok for him to wear leggings, and Sara Silverman vowed to changed all her flights to another airline.  Take a look:

When United Airlines explained that because the girls were using employee passes they were “representatives” of the airline, and were therefore being held “to the highest of standards,” Patricia Arquette tweeted back, “The highest standard of any culture corporate or not is to allow children to be children and to dress in accordance.”
