Some people like their jobs, but 94-year old Loriane Maurer LOVES hers. After all, she’s been doing it for 44 years now and has no plans to retire anytime soon.

In an exclusive profile with People magazine, Loriane said that she’s been working at McDonalds since 1973 at multiple locations. And in that time, she’s picked up a slew of fans and loyal customers. During the winter months, they even have offered to pick her up and drop her off at home after her shifts.

“If you don’t like your job, it’s a job, but I love it,” she said to People. “The people, the clientele, that’s why I stuck with it. I know what goes on with them, I know some of their children. Some ask me to say a prayer and I do. I know their lives.”

This week, dozens of people came to McDonald’s to celebrate her long McDs career.

“After all these years, she remains committed to serving her customers with one of the most delightful smiles around. Loraine has a loyal following of customers and they look forward to having her take their orders when visiting McDonald’s,” owners of the McDonalds Loriane currently works at, Chip and Katie Kenworthy, said.

On top of loving her job, she also loves the food. Loriane apparently eats it every shift every day for the last 44 years. Even when she’s been home sick, it’s occasionally been delivered to her house.
