Ryan Gosling’s film La La Land was at the center of one of the worst mixups in Oscar history, after it was announced that the film won Best Picture when it was actually Moonlight.

But while speaking at the Adobe Summit in Las Vegas this week, the actor isn’t batting an eyelash. In fact, he finds the whole thing hysterical! On stage that night, he could be seen laughing behind the producers and director as the crew from La La Land awkwardly walked off stage. LOL!

“What really was happening as I was watching — it was surreal anyway — I was watching people start to have this panicked reaction in the crowd, and guys were coming on with headsets, and I felt like someone had been hurt,” Ryan said to Adobe CMO Ann Lewnes. “I thought there was some kind of medical situation, and I had this worst-case scenario playing out in my head. And then I just heard Moonlight won, and I was so relieved that I started laughing.”

He continued: “Truthfully, I was also so thrilled that Moonlight won. It’s such a groundbreaking film, made for a million dollars, and an incredible achievement, and I’m so happy for them that they were being recognized.”

He also spoke about his use of Twitter: “The thing about Twitter is it sort of takes all of the fear out of public speaking, but not the consequences. And I’m very aware that when I tweet I’m about to talk to 2 million people, and it doesn’t help to picture them in their underwear because half of them are probably already in them.”
