Deadline Hollywood has reported that Brie Larson will star in Victoria Woodhull, an upcoming film for Amazon Studios.

In addition to producing the film, Brie will play the title character, Victoria Woodhull, the first female presidential candidate of the United States. Victoria ran for president in 1872, over 40 years before women could even vote. Though she lost the election, she had a major impact on women’s rights for years afterward.

The script was written by Ben Kopit, and Brett Ratner will direct.
