Say Yes to the Dress! There was a ‘Father of the Bride’ Reunion!

It was something fans have been waiting for since 1995… a Father of the Bride reunion! Well, it’s not exactly Father of the Bride 3, but we’ll take it.

Steve Martin, Martin Short and Kimberly Williams-Paisley graced us with a get-together backstage at The Grand Ole Opry on Monday night. The trio starred in 1991’s “Father of the Bride” and 1995’s “Father of the Bride II,” and now the SNL royalty are starring in their own comedy tour across the country.

Don’t hold your breath if you are waiting for a third installment, as Martin won’t say “I do.” In February 2016, he told Entertainment Tonight, “I don’t think that’s gonna happen. I’d have to play a grandfather — do I want to do that? Yeah, of course I do, but I think we’ve seen enough.” He added, “But, you know, I think another generation will make that movie again.”

Hollywood DOES love remakes.
