Penélope Cruz has just been cast to play Donatella Versace in Versace: American Crime Story, the third installment in Ryan Murphy’s Emmy-winning anthology series.

Following last year’s The People vs. O.J. Simpson and the upcoming Katrina, due in 2018, Versace tells the story of the murder of famous fashion designer, Gianni Versace. Edgar Ramirez will play Gianni, and Glee alum, Darren Criss will play serial killer, Andrew Cunanan.

The FX miniseries, based on the Maureen Orth book, Vulgar Favors, will begin shooting in Los Angeles in April and Miami, and will premier sometime in 2018.
