We all know Gwyneth has some pretty hardcore dietary habits, and she’s recently added another item to the “do not eat” list.

During a Slack chat this week with her Goop colleagues, the actress shared that she will not eat octopus because of their highly developed brains. In a series of screenshots on the Goop Instagram account, which have since been deleted, Gwyneth replied to the suggestion of ordering the barbecue octopus with this:

“They have more neurons in their brains than we do. I had to stop eating them because I was so freaked out by it. They can escape from sea world and sh*t by unscrewing drains and going out to sea. #tangent.”

The 44-year-old feels that the octopus is “too smart to be food,” unlike the squid she will still eat because, “Squid is the dumb cousin, apparently.”
