‘Beauty & the Beast’ Banks $175 Million — 6th Best Opening of All Time!
Beauty & the Beast is probably one of the best movies we’ve seen in a long time (just a few of our opinions!). And clearly a whole lot of people thought the same thing this weekend, as it became the sixth biggest opening stateside of all time!
According to Deadline, the movie grossed $174.8 million this weekend, beating Iran Man 3’s opening ($174.1 million) and just making it under Captain America: Civil War ($179.1 million).
The film also became Fandango’s highest family pre-seller.
With all this money, Disney is sure to have a long life ahead when it comes to its future live-action films.
And that’s a very very good thing.
