“Beauty and the Beast” had a Belle of a first night at the box office.

On Friday alone, the live-action Disney musical brought in a whopping $63.8 million from just over 4,000 locations.

Its three-day estimate now stands at a potentially record-breaking $170 million.  That’s a beast of a weekend!

In addition to the U.S. release, the international release brought in $40.3 million for Friday as well.
