CELEB REFRESH: Superman Was Offered a Role in ‘Mission Impossible 6’ Via Instagram
It’s about time Mission Impossible is back, we’ve been waiting forever!
But this time, Tom Cruise is not alone. The 33-year old star of Superman, Henry Cavill, is joining him in the epic movie franchise — two sexy brunettes, one giant blockbuster. What’s not to enjoy?
Here’s where it gets really cool: MI6 director Christopher McQuarrie decided to pitch the idea of casting Henry via his Instagram, and die hard fans watched the whole thing ensue right before our very eyes:
“Say, @henrycavill. Had a thought. Curious if you’re interested in a role in the 6th installment of Mission: Impossible. No pressure.” he wrote.
“How can I say no to a man with such perfect hair,” Henry responded. (It’s true, he does have perfect hair).
“@henrycavill excellent,” the director replies. “Just a few caveats: must enjoy extreme heights, high speeds, motor vehicles of all varieties (especially aircraft), practical stunts, firearms, and sporadic exposition. All good?”
“@christophermcquarrie only if I get to fly for real,” Henry said.
Christopher then wrote: “@henrycavill I do believe I specified practical stunts. You in?” to which Henry said, “Oh ok…..I’m in!”
YAS! A Hollywood deal was just made via Instagram. That’s pretty epic. To make it even more delicious, Christopher ended with: “@henrycavill Outstanding. Welcome aboard. Your social media account will self destruct in 5 seconds.”
The movie is expected to hit theaters in July 2018.
