On Tuesday night, the Lea Michele stopped by  The Late Late Show With James Corden and gave us all an amazing treat: a performance of her brand new single, “Love Is Alive.” Though the Glee alum has been on the show before, this was Lea’s first time performing as a musical guest, and though she dropped the track on March 3, this was her very first time performing it live.

During an interview with People, Lea revealed that the song was ultra personal. She said, “I wanted a song on the album that represented where I am personally in my life right now, and this song is exactly that.” The heartfelt ballad reminds us that her voice is a force to be reckoned with.

“Love Is Alive” is the first single released from Michele’s second album, PLACES, which will drop April 28.
