Will Nick Viall finally get engaged to his forever love on The Bachelor tonight? Chris Harrison teased fans during an interview with ABC which aired today ahead of tonight’s season finale, and offered a bit of insight on the results.

He said, “He’s narrowed it down to two incredible women, but the insecurity of Nick is that, ‘Can I find happiness?’ He might be left. He might be the first Bachelor in the history of this entire franchise to be left at the end. And believe me when I tell you, he knows that.”

As we all know, Nick proposed and was rejected on the show before. Twice.

The 45-year-old host addressed the controversy that surrounded the choice of Nick for the role, saying, “Nick’s a good guy, but I completely understand the opposite, of why people were thinking, ‘Really? Nick? He’s your Bachelor?’ And that’s part of the reason of why we did it.”

When asked about the remaining contestants, Raven Gates and Vanessa Grimaldi, Chris described Raven as “apple pie” and said he is “stunned” Vanessa made it this far since she got in her head so much during the process. He explained, “She’s a brilliant woman, and I think sometimes her brain just gets the best of her.”
