We at Hollywood Holler know that America is a bit divided at the moment, so to set your mind at ease, we thought we’d remind you that we’re most likely to have another Kennedy in the Senate — and her name is Caroline!

After three years as U.S. ambassador to Japan, Caroline is now planning a run for a Senate seat in 2018 while simultaneously planning a memoir, which is sure to be a page turner!

An insider at the New York Post said, “Caroline had a successful ambassadorial run in Japan and feels really very confident about putting her hat in the ring for a New York congressional or Senate seat, with even possibly bigger political objectives down the road.”

Another source added, “Caroline is seen in some quarters as the next Hillary Clinton. She has the Kennedy name but no Clinton baggage.”

Apparently, insiders say that it’s been Caroline’s dream to be a U.S. senator from New York, a seat that once held her late uncle Sen. Robert F. Kennedy. It’s clear that Caroline falls into a very respectable and consistently progressive family. Could we see another Camelot in the near future? We once thought her late brother JFK jr. was going to bring Camelot back to the White House — how cool would it be if it were done by her — a Kennedy lady!

Sources declined to reveal Caroline’s exact plans, but 2018 is the earliest she’d be able to do it. The 59-year old liberal has a degree from Columbia Law School. In 2013, she was appointed as the first female ambassador to Japan by Barack Obama, but in mid-January she stepped down from the position — of which she certainly forged a better U.S. relations with Japan.

According to Bloomberg and CNN, Caroline has an estimated net worth of $80 to $500 million (a large gap, we know). But The Post reports her salary to be around $12 million to $30 million a year from Kennedy trust funds.
