Alabama Theatre Refuses to Screen ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Because of Gay Character

The owner of Henagar Drive-In, a movie theatre in Alabama, has banned screenings of Beauty and the Beast due to its gay character, reports TMZ.

The owner is referring to the subplot seeped into the new live action film where LeFou is silently in love with Gaston.

“If we can not take our 11 year old grand daughter and 8 year old grandson to see a movie we have no business watching it,” the owner said. “If I can’t sit through a movie with God or Jesus sitting by me then we have no business showing it.”

Oh, Alabama…
