The matriarch of the Jackson family, Katherine Jackson, has told a London court she’s afraid to return to Los Angeles because her nephew-in-law, Trent Lamar Jackson, virtually controls everything she does, keeps her away from friends, and possibly hides cameras all over the house.

According to the New York Daily News, Katherine, 86, filed legal documents on Wednesday that said she was under a doctor’s care in London in part because of the “stress this situation with Trent is causing me.”

Thankfully, she was granted a temporary restraining order last month against Trent, citing elder abuse and neglecting of her health needs.

Katherine was recently with her daughter Janet Jackson, who is living in London at the moment with her new baby. The visit to her great grand baby seems to be exactly the thing Katherine needed, and we’re so glad she’s out of that situation!

TMZ added to the claims, saying that Katherine believes Trent coped the key to her bedroom door, and she gets dressed in the closet out of fear he will walk in on her unexpectedly: “I used to be very social with my friends, like playing Scrabble, walking around in the park, sharing meals, but Trent has given them various reasons why I am not available,” she added.

She also said she believes he “put cameras and bugs in my home, so the only place I can try and have a private conversation is in my bathroom.”

Trent is the son of Joe Jackson’s half-brother, and yesterday he attended a court hearing in LA to have the restraining order against him removed. The order prohibited him from using her credit cards, staying in the guest house and coming within 100 yards.

Katherine’s other daughter Rebbie is with her in London, and claimed that at one point Trent didn’t call the paramedics when she passed out as he drove her to Las Vegas. Instead, he called one of Rebbie’s nephews who told him to take her to the hospital.
