After months of teasing on social media about her upcoming album Places, Lea Michele’s first new song is finally here! Well, sort of.

The Glee alum has released a bit of her song, “Love is Alive” today, and it doesn’t disappoint! The heartfelt ballad is “such a special song for me,” Lea told PEOPLE exclusively. She explained, ““I wanted a song on the album that represented where I am personally in my life right now, and this song is exactly that.” She says the song is “about believing in love and the power and beauty of love.”

The 44-second teaser video was shot in a vintage theatre reminiscent of her days on Broadway. Check it out!
