Channing Tatum and his wife of over 7 and a half years are relationships goals, but it almost didn’t even happen!

The pair met on the set of Step Up in 2006, but Channing was leery of getting involved with the beauty. He previously told ELLE Magazine that he had ” just gotten out of a pretty long relationship” and  “was in no way ready for another.” So much so, apparently, that he “was trying to run from what I knew Jenna was — not someone I was just going to date.”

Thankfully, his friend stepped in and stopped the madness. Channing explained, “But one of my buddies was like, ‘What are you doing, man? She’s dope.’ That night I showed up at her hotel room with a sombrero on, and that was it . . . we were drinking at a Mexican joint and I stole [the sombrero] off the wall.”

Finally, tequila is responsible for something good! The couple tied the knot on July 11, 2009, welcomed their daughter, Everly in May of 2013, and are still going strong.
