One would think there’s nothing funny about a terrible car accident, but when David Spade is involved, one would be wrong.

The comedian stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show yesterday and got to talking about the major 3-car crash he was involved with in January. Ellen started by saying she had wanted to reach out to David when it happened so she tweeted, to which David replied, “Oh, I didn’t get that tweet. Thank you for almost calling me,” which had everyone rolling!

The Saturday Night Live alum went on to describe the how the whole thing went down. After his car was hit, he spun out and hit 2 other cars. He said that right afterward he was so frozen with fear that when a fireman approached him he thought David was doing the mannequin challenge! While having his vitals taken in the ambulance,  he was told his “talent levels were extremely low” to which he replied, “That’s normal.”

He even had the ambulance drop him off at his dinner reservations. Watch the whole hilarious story here!
