Look at Warren Beatty Try and Explain the Best Picture Fiasco

If there’s one dude who’s kicking himself in the pants after this year’s Oscars, it’s Warren Beatty. After realizing he and Faye Dunaway announced the wrong movie as best picture at the end of the night, he embarrassingly took to the microphone to try and explain what he did.

“I opened the envelope and it said, ‘Emma Stone, La La Land.’ That’s why I took such a long look at Faye and at you [the audience]. I wasn’t trying to be funny,” he said to the audience.

But moments after the show ended, Warren went to the Governor’s Ball where he was motioned over by Erik Feig, Lionsgate’s co-chair of the motion picture group, and Rob Friendman, Lionsgate’s former co-chair/now special advisor to the office of the CEO.
