Ava DuVernay Remembers Trayvon Martin in Pre-Oscar Tweets
Ava Duvernay took to Twitter to share both her pre-show excitement and her feelings around a much larger issue.
Ava tweeted a photo of her family, her glam squad and also a reminder that Trayvon Martin died five years ago.
Ava is best known for her work as the first black female director nominated for a Golden Globe Award,
for “Selma”.
Although she wasn’t nominated for an Oscar in 2o14, her film was.
This year Ava is nominated for the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for her film “13th”.
