Country singer Luke Bryan’s infant niece, Sadie Brett, sadly passed away after a battle with an infection affecting her liver.

According E! News, she died on Tuesday, and was born just last summer to his wife Caroine’s brother Bo Boyer and his wife Ellen Boyer.

According to Ellen, Sadie’s mom, she had been receiving several treatments, including dialysis. The little one suffered from heart issues, and though the last week was apparently her best one this year, she unfortunately succumbed to the illness.
