Ellen Surprises Brooklyn Students w/College Scholarships — And We’re Crying!

Ellen DeGeneres is the person you want to buy your Christmas gift, you know she plays a good Secret Santa!

Well a group of kids from Brooklyn’s Summit Academy Charter School got more than they ever expected when Ellen surprised them all with four-year college scholarships to any State University of New York school!

The gift cost her a whopping $1.6 million, which covers the tuition of 41 graduating seniors!

The school was brought to Ellen’s attention after its founder, Natasha Campbell, shared the school’s inspirational story in a letter to the show, talking about the impoverished neighborhood where nearly four percent of people in the whole community have coulee degrees.

After reading the letter, Ellen invited Natasha and the school’s principal, Cheryl Lundy Swift, to the show and surprised them with a $25,000 check from Walmart to help the school.

But the gift didn’t stop there. Watch:
